SHB was my first expansion and lemme tell you it was OG for me like top expansion for me way better than EW respectfully but i finally found a great FC on aether cuz of this expansion i am thankful lol

Highlander Masterrace 5-ever. No other player race embodies the pure Guts/Kratos/Doomguy/etc. tier action hero machismo power fantasy energy that Highlander males do, on top of slaying the best in most Tank gear alongside the fact that the most badass army/city leader NPC, Raubahn, belongs to the clan. Always hated the 'prettyboy' jazz and said FOH with the bishonen aesthetic from races like Catboy/Bunboy (barring Male Miqo face 2 y'all aight)--it's in enough JRPG's or genre adjacent games like XIV, so having something like Highlanders that don't go too far into the burly muscled style to an extreme like Roegadyn or Hroth also keeps them more down-to-earth and versatile I'd argue. With all those things in their favor, something like no eyebrows becomes a small price to pay, as do having more weathered/aged features which frankly is a specific thing I looked for. My list goes Highlander > Hellsguard Roe >/= Hrothgar > Sea Wolf Roe > Midlander = Elezen > Au Ra > Lalafell > Miqo'te = Viera.

As a Casual Roe yes this video defined me hahaha I know I'm 4 months late but you could do one of those job slanders like you did with races, also advices for early, mid and late game. Of course all in you degenerate lemon style!

Picked Highlander cuz I never liked the pretty boy/bishonen types that you get with characters like Miqo or Viera males, and I didn’t feel a need to go to any particularly extreme aesthetic levels in character design in terms of player race ie Roegadyn or Hroth (tho I do Fanta to them once in awhile, and Hellsguard lore is the most badass in this game). Not to mention no race pulls off Tank gear better than them besides maybe Hrothgar. TL;DR, Highlanders IMO got the same kind of sheer uncontested machismo that characters like Guts or Doomguy have, and for my male power-fantasy playing ass, thats an instant starter

I made my search comment about loving Au Ra men as a joke, and I'm not kidding, it lasted maybe a day before I deleted it because the comments were GODAWFUL. Bun bois are probably the worst though, with Hroth being second for absolute groomers. But Au Ra are solidly sliding right into third with "What the fuck did I just read"
